Cross Tavern sits in Kampi, next to the large cross that gives the tavern its name, and just steps from the ancient Mycenaean cemetery. From up here you can see the whole Ionian Sea — the sky turning gold, then pink, then deep blue as the sun goes down.
We’ve been on this hill since 1986. The cross has always been our neighbor, and the sunset has always been our view. We built our tables around it, not the other way around.
Our kitchen follows the same recipes it always has — grilled meat and fresh fish cooked over fire, traditional Greek dishes made from scratch, nothing rushed. No shortcuts, just food the way it’s meant to be made.
Behind every plate, every smile and every sunset dinner, there’s a family that’s been doing this since 1986. They know the island, they know the regulars, and they know how to make a stranger feel at home.
